Why Him? Review

Why him? That’s what we all wonder. The director and co-writer for this movie John Hamburg is famously known for both his writings on “Meet the Parents” and the sequel “Meet the Fockers.” During the holidays the Fleming family travels to see their daughter, who attends Stanford University. The focus of this is on a dad’s “perfect” daughter finding love with the not so perfect guy. Over the course of the movie, both the father (Ned) and the boyfriend (Laird) are at odds. Laird is desperately trying to get Ned to like him in an unrealistic way.

The film stars Dave Franco, Zoey Deutch and Bryan Cranston, along with a few others. Movies nowadays sometimes tend to be rated R in order to be considered “more funny,” as many may agree, but if you are someone who enjoys a good comedy or wants a good laugh, then I highly recommended going to see this. Although, it wouldn’t be recommended to see this movie with either your parents or your kids for a couple of reasons, of which you will have to wait and see.
