Dear Bunky,

My advisory is doing a secret Santa this year, but I don’t really know the person I picked and am not sure what to get them. What should I do?

Sincerely,

Struggling Santa

Dear Struggling Santa,

It can be tough to find gifts for people you’re not particularly close to or friends with. A good place to start is to try and figure out some interests that your person has. To avoid giving the secret away, stray away from asking them directly. If you are friends on social media, you might be able to decipher what some of their interests there. You could also ask some mutual friends between you and them, to see if they have any gift ideas.

If you’re still struggling for gift ideas, there are some no fail ideas. Dunkin Donuts gift cards or any gift cards are great no fail gifts for high school students. Candy is also a good idea if you know your person has a sweet tooth. Whatever you end up giving, put some thought into it, because it’s the thought that counts.

Sincerely,

Bunky
