March ‘n Crafts (I tried)

Hello, and welcome to the KHS Rampage Craft Korner! This week, I will be guiding you on how to make a simple little project that is good for any season! I call it the all-purpose protest sign. This easy gem is a cinch to make and can be reused over and over again! If you have an old pallet that you can rip up, it will hardly even cost you a dollar. This project is surely a win for any of your rioting occasions!

You will need the following:

– 4 old, flat, discolored wooden planks

– 1 box rusty nails

– 1 can blood red paint

You will also need these tools:

– Hammer

– Hand Saw

– Paint brush

Optional:

Rasp

Chop saw

First, cut three of the wooden planks into pieces slightly the same size, a chop saw will make this faster. When they are placed together, they should make roughly a square shape: the more jagged edges the better! Next nail these boards to the last longer board. This is the handle of the sign and is extremely important. At this point, a rasp can be used to round off the sides of the handle. Doing this will prevent needless splinters from long days of protesting. The final step is to paint what ever words you want on the sign. The possibilities are endless! Don’t worry about the neatness of the letters. Running paint and bad grammar simply add to the originality. Next week I will teach you how to make a Guy Fawkes Mask!
