Hello Seniors!

I think we’re all feeling a bit stunned after the first round of college applications. Higher education really did hit some of us like a truck. But don’t worry, with regular decision deadlines coming up, we’ll get to do this process all over again 😉

Let’s face it though, being a senior is pretty awesome. We get to act like we know everything about KHS and impart our wisdom unto adorable freshman. Because really, we’ve been there. We’ve called our Study Halls GLTs and our English classes LA, but of course, we’ll act like we have never uttered those words. Never. Because that would only take away from our cool senior vibes.

For it is true, we have experienced pretty much everything that is KHS. And every repeat thing that we experience this year has a bittersweet air about it – a last first day, a last homecoming, a last soccer game. Everything seems all the more special because we’re seniors. We have learned how to appreciate everything for what it is, and we can see the light at the end of the tunnel a little bit more clearly than everyone else.

Whether you’ve already picked out your dorm tapestry or are cramming for that first block test, you are not alone. Some of us might be thrilled to get out of here, while others will go through the year with a heavy heart.

Whichever camp you fall into, I’m sure we can all agree that 2018 will be the year of the senior!
