Teacher Spotlight: Mrs.Roy

The Rampage is proud to announce that the first spotlight staff member is English teacher, Mrs. Amy Roy. I learned a few things while talking to her that I would have never known. Mrs. Roy has been a teacher at KHS for the past nine years, so one could assume that she has a pretty good background with the the school and everyone in it. One question I asked her was, what is her favorite thing about KHS? Her response was, the student body. Mrs. Roy is not only a fan of the students, but the students are fans of her. KHS junior Cooper Nunan says that Mrs. Roy is a really good teacher, and she is a nice and funny woman. Mrs. Roy says one of her greatest strengths in the school is her relationships with her students. This is a strength that not many would disagree with. KHS sophomore Elyse Tushin says Mrs.Roy is really nice, understands her students, and is a fun person to have as a teacher. When Mrs. Roy was asked about her greatest weakness, she said she was told that she is too nice. When asked what her favorite book was, the reply was that she wasn’t sure what her favorite book to read was. Her favorite book to teach though, is Lord Of the Flies. In her spare time, Mrs.Roy loves spending time with her husband and 2 sons. Although Mrs.Roy is pretty much an open book, one thing KHS doesn’t know about her is that she was voted “class angel” in high school.
