When it rains, it certainly does pour here in Kennebunk, Maine. Since these November showers will not be bringing us any May flowers, it is best to look on the bright side, and at least be looking good as the raindrops are falling on your very fashionable head. So if your favorite fall looks are feeling a bit soggy, here are some trendy tips to stay dashing and dry this rainy season.

Outerwear: It is extremely important to keep your fall outfits looking their best, no matter the weather. For this reason, the fashion gods gave us raincoats. Raincoats can be fun and colorful or sleek and stylish depending on the the style and color. The classic trench-coat style slicker can either be cute and vibrant in colors such as yellow or red, or chic and classy in neutral colors like black or grey. Transparent trench-coats are a very high fashion trend for the bolder fashionistas of KHS. Peplum raincoats, which are often belted at the waist and flare out, are similar to trench-coats because they can be both cute or sophisticated, depending on the color. Both the trench-coat and peplum styles are very practical because they are often long, and can protect your pants from the rain, as well as your top. Weather-proof jackets are more casual and sporty, and are perfect for keeping dry in between class or running out to store in the middle of a rainstorm.

Footwear: While rubber boots may not be the shoe of choice for many fashionistas, there are many ways to make these practical styles stand out. Tall, colorful rain boots are a sensible and stylish statement that add a pop of color to any rainy day. Short rain boots and Bean Boots are also adorable, but be sure to avoid any deep puddles! Pair these shorter option with warm socks to add a cute and cozy layer between your feet and the rain.

Accessories: There is no question that the ultimate, rainy day accessory is the umbrella. Both fashionable and functional, an umbrella provides protection from downpours for both you and a companion. You can either keep it classy with solid colors, or get funky with fun patterns. Whatever the weather, your accessories should always reflect your perfect personality.
