Retirement Spotlight: Mrs. Emmons
Mrs. Emmons is retiring this year after 26 years at KHS. When she was younger, she worked at a local grocery store and then was hired by RSU 21 as an Ed Tech at Sea Road School. She later worked as a secretary for the Special Education department before moving to KHS to work in the main office alongside Ms. Dumont for most of her years here.
She has enjoyed working with the students as she gets to meet everyone and know their names and faces. This has been challenging the past few years as everyone has been wearing masks.
The thing she’ll miss most is seeing students every day, but she won’t miss waking up at 5:00 am, nor will she miss finding substitute teachers.
In retirement, she hopes to get out of New England for a few months during the winters but plans to always return for summertime. She also hopes to visit her grandchildren in Connecticut and her son in Oregon as often as possible.
We will miss you, Mrs. Emmons!
