Come see the KHS Drama Club’s newest production, the one act version of Madeleine L’Engle’s sci-fi novel, A Wrinkle in Time. The story follows siblings Charles Wallace and Meg who are searching for their father with the help of Mrs. Who, Mrs. Which, and Mrs. Whatsit, three powerful, interstellar witches. They are joined by Calvin, a boy from school, as they travel planet-to-planet searching for their father and coming up against the It, the embodiment of evil itself.
The play, which is an abridged, 35-minute cut of the original story, stars Adrienne Parent as Meg, Avery Rossics as Charles Wallace, Grayson Shairs as Calvin, and Cassie Midgley, Isabella Donnery, and Willow Knowles as the witches. They are accompanied by Ava Hackley as the Red-Eyed Man, Quinn Downing as Meg’s Father, and a large supporting ensemble of fellow students. The show, which is entirely student-led, is directed by Aubree Veilleux, assistant directed by Gracie Mitchell, stage managed by Noah Hammond, and production managed by Susan Pollard. This is a fundraiser for the Drama Club, and proceeds go to help fund future Drama Club events.
The Drama Club will be taking A Wrinkle in Time to the Maine Drama Festival One Act Competition to compete against other schools at Marshwood High School on March 8th and 9th.
Come support your fellow students in KHS Drama Club by seeing A Wrinkle in Time from February 8th – 10th at 7pm and February 11th at 2pm. Tickets can be purchased online at khspac.ludus.com or at the door on the night of the show. We hope to see you there
