4 ½ cups of Corn Chex cereal

½ cup semisweet chocolate chips (3 oz)

¼ cup peanut butter

2   tablespoons butter or margarine

½ teaspoon vanilla

¾ cup powder sugar

1 cup candy corn

1 cup salted cocktail peanuts



  1. In a large bowl, measure cereal; set aside
  2. In a 1-quart microwavable bowl,  microwave chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter uncovered on high for 30 seconds; then stir. Microwave around 15 seconds longer or until the mixture can be stirred smoothly. Stir in the vanilla. Pour the mixture over cereal, stirring evenly until coated. Pour mixture into 1-gallon resealable food-storage plastic bag
  3. Add powdered sugar. Seal bag; shake until well coated. Add candy corn and peanuts; shake to mix. Spread onto wax paper to cool.Store in an airtight container in refrigerator
