On October 28th, Tobias Macedo won the best overall costume, being dressed as Shrek. His costume involved thoughtful clothing, a painted swim cap, painted face, and other accessories having to do with his character. Besides Tobias, there were multiple other winners for categories such as scariest, funniest, most original, and more, that were given out as well. “Being a judge is fun, but it is always hard to pick winners because there are so many good costumes. I do like that there were so many categories so we could pick more than one winner,” says Mr. O’Brien. Mr.O’Brien also stated that he really enjoyed Sophie Burchill’s costume, where she was covered in boxes of cereal, held a fake knife, and called herself a “cereal killer”. He also enjoyed Ms. Murray’s costume, as she was the Tin Man from The Wizard of Oz. The winners of this parade include Angelina Macedo who won scariest costume; Mimi Mackilligan, Hannah Thompson, Sydney Richelieu, Lauren Richelieu, Leah Payne, and Jane Emmons who won the group costume; Mr. Germana, who won the teacher costume; Brianna Hayes who won the best character; Lucas Marquis who won funniest; Jesy Hill who won most original, and Tobias Macedo who won best overall. Every single costume was unique in a different way, but Tobias’ seemed to be the most favorable by the judges! Congratulations to all of the contestants.
