Now that the first day of Spring has arrived, it’s an appropriate time to apply for Summer jobs. Many local businesses in Kennebunk, Kennebunkport and Wells are looking to hire. If you missed the chance to attend the job fair on March 13th, the Chamber of Commerce has a great deal of information on their website linked below.
If you’re someone who is looking to stay close to downtown Kennebunk, here are a few places that might catch your attention: Amatos, Atria, and Huntington Commons are all looking for several people to hire.
During the Summer months, downtown Kennebunkport experience is it’s busiest season, which opens the door to plenty of Summer jobs. Places like The Nonantum Resort and The Colony Hotel have several different openings, but that’s not all. The Rhumb Line Resort and The White Barn Inn have all sorts of opportunities. Sophomore Mikey Walsh said “I work at the Dory in Kennebunkport where I am a food runner” he also said “It gives me something to do in the Summer, and it’s also nice to make money.”
When searching for a job, it can be helpful to get a head start by staying on task. When showing an employer that you’re the best person for the job, it is important to keep in mind that you want to show them how devoted you are willing to be. Employers look for motivated people who arrive to work on time, are able to work well with others, have leadership qualities, and do the best that they can.
From all types of jobs, you are not only earning money but you are gaining experience along with connections that will help contribute to you in the future.
