Note:

Tuesday, January 14th, proved to be a huge night for Kennebunk’s teams.

First at home, the – now, second-seeded – Girls Basketball team snapped a three-year 48 game winning streak against the number one seeded Greely (10-1). Emily Hogue scored 13 points, 9 of which came from three; Alaina Schatzabel and Isabelle Okuwosa both finished with six points and eight rebounds; and Emily Archibald led the team with 24 points, four of them in the final six seconds of the game.

Second, away at Greely, the Boys Basketball team beat Greely (8-3) by a margin of 23 points. Greely’s Logan Bagshaw came away with 45 points but was the only member of his team to score in double digits, whereas four Rams – Max Murray, Kyle Pasieniuk, Adam Lux, and Ian Murray – scored in double figures, a real team effort.

And lastly, the Boys Hockey team won 3-1 at Cape Elizabeth, coming away with their first win since the first game of the season.

The night was both a tremendous accomplishment for our school’s athletes and an exciting night for our fans. These wins will hopefully prove to be signs of more winning to come this season.
