Around 10:30 p.m., on Friday the 27, a black SUV collided with RSU 21 Bus 15 at the intersection of Alfred and Alewive roads. The bus was occupied by several members of the KHS track and field team, who at the time were returning from their Southwesterns meet. As the bus pulled past Cummings Market, a woman driving an SUV ran a red light and collided with the bus. One student stated, “I don’t think she saw us. She didn’t slow down at all.” Several passengers experienced minor injuries, but most were just shaken up by the experience. The students were evacuated from the bus, and the intersection was cordoned off by police.
