Unified Basketball

There are many exciting sports to play and watch during the winter season, a personal favorite being Unified Basketball. Unified Basketball is a team of students with and without developmental disabilities, and the goal of the program is to build a community and bring students together through basketball. One of the benefits of experiencing different clubs and communities in high school is being able to interact with people you may not have had the opportunity to otherwise.

Unified is played with modified rules and prioritizes the experience of playing over winning. It is a varsity sport and requires commitment and dedication to the team. Members and staff raise money for the program through the Unified snack cart. Donations are also welcome. Community members have worked hard to support the team.

Unified Basketball is such a welcoming team, and even with its increased popularity this year, it was super comfortable to join. We have witnessed many fans at recent home games and appreciate the support. Large and loud fan sections are super exciting to see, and add to the program goal of community building. We would love to have even more people join in on the support (while having lots of fun) and urge you to come watch some upcoming games!

WE ARE UNIFIED!
