March marked the end of an incredible Unified Basketball season! The team played eight games this season with four on our home court and four played away. Kennebunk faced off against a range of opponents including Massabesic, Biddeford, Wells, Thornton Academy, Sanford, and Nobel/Marshwood.
The season started off with a bang as the Rams won their first game against Massabesic with a final score of 62 to 52. Excitement and morale continued throughout the season, only strengthened by Kennebunks impressive game play. A prime example of this is when player Thomas Morin scored a 3-point buzzer beater, earning Kennebunk a thrilling, last-second win during an away game.
Senior night was another highlight of this year’s Unified season. The team hosted a heartfelt send off to the eight graduating seniors who would be leaving the team. Posters made by the Unified Art class decorated the gym to celebrate the occasion. Senior night marked another win for the Rams against the Sanford Spartans.
Although the Unified Basketball season is now over, we can look forward to the upcoming Unified Bocce season starting after April break!
